About Us

The Hurley Funeral Home was established in 1847 by Ralph Houghton who, along with his family, ran the funeral home until purchased by James J. “Joe” Hurley in 1907. We are the oldest funeral home in Randolph and one of the oldest in the state of Massachusetts.

In 1907 James J. “Joe” Hurley bought the business and was serving the community of Randolph at 15 North Main Street, Randolph with offices in South Braintree and Holbrook. James J. “Joe” Hurley passed away in 1951 and his son, John J. Hurley, continued running the family business. John J. Hurley graduated from Stetson High School, attended Bentley College, and graduated from N.A.I.E.
