William F. “Bill†St. Lawrence, of Wareham, formerly of Randolph, passed away February 27, 2017 at the age of 88, surrounded by his loving family. Bill retired from the Mass. Electric Co. as the Senior Commercial and Industrial Services Representative after almost 50 yrs. of employment in a variety of positions. He was recognized for his service by the Randolph Board of Selectman with a proclamation designating August 22, 1990 as William F. St. Lawrence Day. Bill was also the recipient of many awards, including the James O’Kane Randolph Oilers Memorial Award, the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow Award, and the Charles A. Powers Jr. Humanitarian Award. He was the past President of the Randolph Rotary, Chairman of the South Shore Rotary Club’s District Golf League, and the past President of the South Shore Kennel Club. An avid golfer, Bill was also proud of his four hole-in-ones.
Beloved husband for 66 years of Jane (Linehan) St. Lawrence. Loving father of Daniel St. Lawrence and his wife Kristine of Ontario, Canada, William St. Lawrence, Jr. and his wife Susan of Weymouth, and Diane and her husband John MacDonald of Maine. He is also survived by his four granddaughters, Renee, Charlene, Nicole, and Erin, as well as his great-grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany, Alexandra, and Elliot.
A funeral will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Friday, March 3rd at 11am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, March 2nd from 4-7pm. Internment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph.
