William E. Comeau

William E. Comeau, age 87, of West Chatham and Easton, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 23, 2022. Bill was born and raised in Roxbury, MA. in the Egleston Square neighborhood.

He was the son to the late John and Ethel (Nolan) Comeau and was the loving husband to the late Eunice (O’Donnell) Comeau for 32 years and is survived by his wife Ann (Waterman) Comeau.

Bill worked many years as a truck driver and member of Local 25 Teamsters. In 1968 he began work for the MBTA as a trolley operator. When Bill retired in 1991, he was a Chief Inspector working out of the Cleveland Circle Station. After retiring, Bill decided to get his Construction Supervisors License and began a career in building construction. He then went to work for his son at Comeau & Kelly Construction Inc. in Stoughton, MA. before retiring at age 83. Always a dedicated hard worker, Bill made many friends and was well known for his gift of telling stories, great humor, his passion for NASCAR, along with many hobbies.

Bill is survived by his children, William Comeau Jr., and companion Lisa Letourneau, of Middleboro, MA., Denice (the late John) MacDougall, of Norwood, MA., John (Joan) Comeau of Orlando, FL., and Charles (Mary) Comeau, of Avon, MA. He is survived by his grandchildren, William, Keith, Cayla, Charles Jr., Michael, Alex, Jake, and Myles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial celebration will be held on Thursday December 1, 2022, from 4-7 pm at Hurley Funeral Home 134 South Main Street, Randolph, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bill’s name to the charity of your choice.
