Walter T. Egan

Walter T. Egan, of Brockton, passed away November 23, 2019 at the age of 76. Walter was born, raised, and educated in Boston and had been a resident of Brockton for 25 years. He worked at the Stop N Shop headquarters in Quincy before retiring in 2008 and enjoyed collecting coins and camping.

Beloved husband of Dorothy (Barter) Egan. Loving father of Christine Egan-Bark, Michele McAvoy, April Egan Lenahan, and Walter Egan, Jr. Dear brother of Leo Egan, Jr., Jean Walsh, Rose Shulman, Michael Egan, James Egan and his wife Judy, and the late Ruth Moulin, Margaret Fagan, Evelyn Egan, Francis Egan, and Paul Egan. Brother-in-law of Thomas Barter and his wife Barbara. Also survived by several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Friday, November 29th from 11am-1pm followed by a funeral service at 1pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Late US Marine Veteran.
