Virginia E. Burns

Passed on December 15, 2023
Resident of Braintree - Randolph, MA

Virginia Elizabeth Burns, aged 93, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023, surrounded by her cherished family members. Born on August 15, 1930, in Tewksbury, MA to Mary Pilalas and Salvatore Angelora, affectionately known as 'Ginny, and married to the love of her life, Allan "Dick" Burns, at the young age of 19. She was a devoted and loving presence as a wife, mother, grandmother, colleague, and friend, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives.

Her quick wit and infectious sense of humor brightened every room she entered. Her passions for hemming, monogramming, and engraving were woven into the fabric of her life, as were her indulgences in a nice cup of coffee and delectable treats also known to everyone as a " nice goody".

Virginia is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and extended family. Her dedication shone brightly during her tenure at Talbot's Warehouse in Hingham. Outside of work, her joy stemmed from her ceramic classes, embroidery, and the artistry of many crafts, while her home in Weymouth stood as a warm haven where she welcomed others with open arms.

Her absence leaves a void, yet her spirit will forever reside within us. Ginny, with her distinct personality and her presence, though sorely missed, leaves us with enduring memories that we will forever cherish.
