Thomas E. Madden of Randolph passed away on December 30, 2022, after battling a lengthy illness. Over the past year, Tom’s one wish was to enjoy one last Thanksgiving and Christmas. Raised in Randolph and coming from a large family, Tom was well known by many people in town. For 15 years he worked as an automotive mechanic at Matt’s Garage. Tom also served as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Mary’s church in Randolph for many years.

Son of Rita and Joseph Madden, and stepson of Herbert Thomas, he is survived by his siblings and their families: Susan (Madden) and Daniel Sullivan of Holbrook; Russell and Mary Madden of Hanson; James M. Madden of Randolph; Diane (Gorewitz) Davidson of New Hampshire; and the late Joseph (Bob) Madden and his wife Nancy of Stoughton. Tom was the generous and loving uncle to the late Kelly Madden, Kerry Cooke, Jennifer Madden, Corinne Sullivan, Jamie Madden, Abby Madden, Sean Madden, Russell Madden, Daniel and Michael Sullivan.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Saint Mary’s Church at 211 North Main Street in Randolph at 10am. Relatives and close friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will immediately follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery located at 245 North Street in Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Program.
