Steven Holland

Passed on April 10, 2026
Resident of Randolph, MA

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Steven Holland of Randolph announces his passing on April 10, 2026 at the age of 63. Steve is survived by his loving partner of 35 years, Jackie Ripp; his siblings Charlie Holland, Susan Foster and Cindy Armstrong (with whom he shared a special bond); nephews Dennis, Billy and Dillon; nieces Kerri and Kristen; and favorite cousins Eddie and Ellen. Steve now joins his beloved parents Betty and Wally Holland in Heaven. He is also reunited with our loyal pets Sandy and Turbo.

Steve worked as a Commercial Roofer for many years, beginning his career in California before returning to Massachusetts. After coming home, he worked on buildings all around New England as well as in many other states. He took great pride in his welding abilities.

Steve had a passion for cooking and gardening. A few of his favorites were his famous stuffed peppers, corn chowder, and English muffin pizzas that he made in his own special way. He loved sharing his culinary creations with others and could always be relied on to make enough food to feed a crowd. A notorious late-night snacker, he would commonly be found in the kitchen at odd hours whipping up whatever his heart desired at that moment. He was proud of his vegetable garden and used his green thumb to share a bounty of tomatoes, peppers, and squash with friends and family.

Steve was an informal neighborhood weatherman and could happily spend hours tracking the clouds and stormy weather, especially lightning storms. His forecasts were always spot on – mostly. He also loved being outside and would enjoy walking local trails just as much as sharing food and fun at a firepit. Whether stargazing through a telescope, keeping an eye out for hawks with binoculars, flying a kite at the beach, or carving pumpkins in the fall, he could find endless entertainment in nature.

Steve looked forward to playing the Numbers Game, Keno, and scratching tickets, always hoping for that “big win.” He loved playing card games such as Solitaire and Poker, but Gin Rummy held a special place in his heart as he spent many hours playing it with his dad, Wally.

Steve will be remembered for being a big kid at heart. He had a fun personality, a generous spirit, and a heart of gold. He was happiest when spending time with those he loved.

Steve will be

Forever Loved

Always Missed

Never Forgotten

As Steve would say, “Have a nice day!

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a mass at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 2 at the St. Bernadette Church, located at 1031 N. Main St. in Randolph.
