Sandra 'Sandy' G. Wilson Barrett

Sandra “Sandy” (Wilson) Barrett, age 74, long time resident of Holbrook, died in the comfort of her family on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022.

Sandy was born in Somerville, MA and later moved to Stoughton where she attended Stoughton Elementary and High School. In 1970, she married William H. Barrett and began to raise her three boys in Holbrook, working with the church, and spending over fifty plus years in the town. She will be most remembered for her acts of kindness, selfless spirit, and her amazing ability to provide comfort. She loved her visits to Maine, vacationing on Cape Cod, watching both her grandchildren play the sport of the season come rain or shine and spending time with her family and friends whom she loved above all.

Sandy is survived by her loving and devoted family; husband, William H. Barrett, loving mother of Brian, and his wife Kerry of Braintree, Kevin and his fiancé Samantha of S. Dennis and William M. Barrett of Holbrook. She is the cherished “Nana” to Jake and Sean Barrett, also of Braintree. She was the sister of Laurel McGrath and her husband Michael of Stoughton, and the beloved Aunt of their children Mackenzie, Will, Carson and Davis McGrath.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Monday, December 19th from 9am-11:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph Parish in Holbrook at 12pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. Donations in Sandy’s name may be made to the Mass Audubon Society, Sea Turtle Project @massaudubon.org.
