Sandra J. (Tocchio) Eldeb
November 28, 1944 – October 9, 2026
Resident of Avon, MA
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sandra J. (Tocchio) Eldeb, who passed away peacefully at her home in Avon, MA, on October 9, 2026, at the age of 81, with her loved ones by her side. She was born on November 28, 1944, in Boston, MA to Mary E. (MacDonald) and Gino J. Tocchio. She grew up in Quincy, MA with her sister, Janis, surrounded by family and many dear friends.
In 1962, Sandy married the love of her life, Ronald Eldeb, and together they shared a loving marriage and recently celebrated 64 wonderful years. Together, they raised three daughters and built a loving family that remained the center of Sandy’s world throughout her life. She was a devoted mother and a wonderful role model, instilling in her daughters strong family values and the importance of always being there for one another. Her daughters naturally turned to her for advice and guidance because they valued her wisdom, trusted her judgment, and knew they could always count on her love and support. Their husbands would often tease them for saying, “Well, Mom said…”—a testament to the lasting influence she had on their lives.
In 1980, Sandy supported her husband, Ron, when he opened Ron’s Auto & Truck Repair in Brockton, MA. She became an important part of the family business, working as the bookkeeper, ordering parts, and helping wherever she was needed. She especially loved her Fridays at the shop, greeting customers, catching up with everyone, and enjoying Papa Gino’s pizza for lunch. Sandy also had a love for gardening and flowers and a natural green thumb. She especially enjoyed spending her days outdoors in the sun tending to her yard, a favorite hobby that brought her great joy.
Her heart grew even fuller as she welcomed eight grandchildren and, later, one great-grandson into the family. Sandy cherished every moment with them and was, without question, the best Nana. She shared a special bond with each of her grandchildren, making each one feel loved, valued, and truly special. She treasured the time they spent together and was always there to listen, offer advice, or simply enjoy their company.
Sandy’s family will forever remember her for her unwavering devotion, kindness, and strength. She had a way of making everyone feel heard and loved, and her warmth and wisdom left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Above all, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the beautiful family she created and cherished throughout her life.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Ron, and her three beloved daughters Lisa and David Emma of Middleton, MA; Sherry and Matthew Curley and Debbie and Ron Hersey, all of Avon, MA. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan (Taylor) and great grandson Hudson, Joseph (Julia), Kevin (Emily), Danielle (Ryan), Patrick, Nicole and Jake and her late grandson, Brian. She is also survived by her loving sister Janis and her late husband, Walter Wentzell of Easton, MA.
Visting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 South Main Street (Rt. 28), Randolph on Wednesday, October 14th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm followed by a service at the funeral home at 1:00 pm.
