Ruth M. Hagan
Passed on July 1, 2018
Resident of Randolph, MA
Ruth M. Hagan, age 98, passed away peacefully at her home in Randolph early Sunday morning, July 1, 2018, surrounded by her family. Ruth was the fifth of eight children born to Thomas and Mary (Lydon) Hagan and raised in the Irish Catholic community of South Boston where she graduated from the Gate of Heaven School. She has resided in Randolph for the past 48 years and has been a devoted member of St. Mary’s Parish in Randolph. Ruth worked as a billing associate for Sears for over 40 years and after her retirement spent much of her time enjoying bingo, ceramics, and many trips with the Randolph Seniors.
Ruth joins her siblings Anna Hagan, Edward Hagan, Margaret (Sis) Brooks, Mary Hagan, Gertrude Hagan and Ann Olson in Heaven. She is survived by her sister Blondina (Betty) Sibley, formerly of Randolph and dozens of beloved nieces and nephews. She touched so many lives and her caring, nurturing and generous nature evokes a feeling that she was a Mother to all children. A special thank you to South Shore Elder Services and Old Colony Hospice for the care and compassion given to Ruth and her family over the past several years and to her caregiver "Jessie" who became Ruth's closest friend and companion.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Monday, July 9th from 5-8pm at Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So.
