Roy A. Conrad Jr

Passed on April 14, 2016
Resident of Randolph, MA

Roy A Conrad Jr. a lifelong resident of Randolph (a True Townie) passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2016. Roy passed surrounded by his loving family and two very special friends after a courageous and inspiring three year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a graduate of the Randolph High school class of 1960. A true entrepreneur he owned and operated Conrad's Supermarket, Conrad's Variety and M & R Limousine Service, all in his beloved town of Randolph. His love of New Hampshire and real estate also led him to owning and operating a couple of businesses in the Lakes Region. He was a sitting member and past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Randolph Savings Bank, a former member of the Board of Directors of Central Cemetery and a dedicated proud and loyal employee of Hurley Funeral Home for nearly two decades. Never one to sit still Roy loved roaming yard sales, flea markets and fairs with his wife, children and grandchildren. He always looked forward to family vacations, enjoyed swimming and that occasional run to Foxwoods. Many family members were the happy recipients of the fruits of his gardening labors and skill. Most of all, he just enjoyed meeting and talking with people. On the rare occasion that he would actually sit still he enjoyed sitting on his balcony overlooking Nantasket Beach.

Roy leaves his beloved wife of 40 years, Helen (Baird) Conrad and his loving children Michael Conrad and his wife Traci of Stoughton, Roy Conrad of Randolph, Jeanmarie Allar and her husband Dan of Whitman and Debbie Conrad of MI. Devoted Brother of Sandra Durand and her husband David of Abington, Robert Conrad of Randolph and Richard Conrad and his wife Marie of Randolph. Dear grandfather of Justin, Michael, Brayden and Avery. Proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 South Main Street (Rt 28), Randolph on Thursday, April 21st at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Bernadette's Church in Randolph at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, April 20th from 4-8pm. Internment Central Cemetery, Randolph.
