Robert V. (Bob) Tripp Sr., Age 90, of Duxbury, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Dorchester MA, son of the late William V. Tripp Sr. and Mary A.(McMillan) Tripp and husband of the late Eileen P. (Bennett)Tripp. Loving Father of Robert V. Tripp Jr. of Porter, Maine, Michelle D. (Tripp) Holden and her husband Daniel of Middleboro and Amy M. Tripp-Maguire and her husband David of East Bridgewater. Loving Grandfather of Robert V. Tripp, III and his wife Katelyn of Maine, Kellie Powers and her husband Jeffrey of Plymouth, Daniel J. Holden of Middleboro and Jessica Pickowicz and her husband Nate of NH. Loving Great-Grandpa to Paige and Peyton Powers and Jack, Elizabeth & Matthew Pickowicz. Brother of the late William V. Tripp Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Watertown. Brother of Joseph R. Tripp and his wife Barbara of Marshfield and Brother-in-law of James d’Entremont of Duxbury.

After graduating Hyde Park High School, Bob joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country as an air crewman and on the flight deck as plane captain from 1951-1954 during the Korean War. Upon returning from his military service, Bob worked as a postal carrier for the Dorchester Postal Service then transferred to the Randolph Post Office and was promoted to manager. It was when Bob and his wife Eileen had their first house built that he fell in love with real estate. Bob joined Kierman Realtors and thoroughly enjoyed every single moment, serving Randolph and surrounding towns as the “The Realtor for you, your home and your family.” Throughout his Real Estate career, Bob served a term as President of the Greater Brockton Board of Realtors and received the prestigious lifetime achievement award.

Bob's love for travel took him all over the world with his beloved Eileen and after she passed, he moved forward and discovered Regent Cruise Ships, which took him to: Israel, Turkey, New Zealand and Monte Carlo (to name a few). Bob was always planning his next adventure!

Bob served his Randolph community for 63 years, as a member of numerous committees: Saint Mary’s finance committee, Randolph Lodge of Elks, Knights of Columbus, American Veterans (Amvets), American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Holy Name Society, and the United States Junior Chamber (JC’s). In 2017 Bob retired and moved to The Village at Duxbury and then to The Duxbury House where he socialized, made new friends and lived his life to the fullest.

There will be a 10am funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church in Randolph on Saturday April 30, 2022, followed by his burial at Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Bob can be made to NVNA Hospice in Norwell MA at NVNA.ORG.
