Robert J. Roycroft, of Scituate, passed away February 13, 2018 at the age of 80. Born, raised, and educated in Brookline, Bob was an Avon resident for 25 years. There he also served for many years on the school committee including two terms as School Committee Chairman and was a member of the Lions Club. Bob served his country for several years in the Army Reserves He started his first retail store in Avon over 50 years ago and continued running his own business for the rest of his life.
Beloved husband of the late Annie (Thrower) Roycroft. Loving father of Dave Roycroft of Quincy and Debbie Sullivan and her husband Tim of Scituate. Brother of Carl Roycroft of Bourne and the late Joseph Roycroft. Bob loved being a grandfather and was known as “Bumpy†to his granddaughters Kaiti and Molly Sullivan.
A Celebration of Life and visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Sunday, February 18th from 2-6pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Monday, February 19th at 10am, there will be a memorial service at the Hurley Funeral Home, followed by interment at the Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
