Raymond ‘Ray’ Gutkey

Raymond (Ray) Gutkey, 63 of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, originally from Worcester, passed suddenly January 28, 2022. Son of the late Raymond W. and Irene (Walsh) Gutkey. Stepson of Marguerite Eaton of South Boston. Beloved brother of Frank Gutkey and his wife Sheila of Worcester and sister Lisa Duncan of Avon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Katie Keaney and Don and Kevin Bowers. Former longtime employee of the MBTA, Ray served as a train attendant for 18 years. Ray enjoyed the simple things in life. He was an avid sports fan and spent many years coaching youth sports and playing softball and golf. He was a member of various social clubs on the South Shore. He was a friend to many and will be missed by those whose lives he touched. His love and loyalty are the legacy he leaves to his family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Tuesday, February 8th from 5-7pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private.
