Peter P. Greene, of Holbrook, passed away March 20, 2025 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Marie (O’Connor) Greene. Loving father of Cathy Greene and Aidan Greene. Devoted brother of Maureen Harte of Rosscommon, Ireland, Sean Greene of Braintree, Nora Morrison and her husband Al of Weymouth, Michael Greene of Carna, Ireland, Padraig and his wife Birdie Greene of Norwood, Eileen O’Connor and her husband Maurice of Needham, Margaret Sharkey and her husband Joseph of Donegal, Ireland, and the late Teresa Dundass, Sally Greene, and Katherine Francis Greene. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Peter enjoyed digging clams, fishing, taking photos, antiquing and flee markets, cooking, sitting by the wood stove, and gardening. He was a proud member of the DC 35 Local 577 for 45 years and the retired delegates who would never miss a picket line.
Funeral form the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Thursday, March 27th at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael’s Church in Avon at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 26th from 4-7pm. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery, Avon.

Rest in peace, uncle Peter. I will never forget your amazing seafood cooking, always having my favorite beverage available when I was visiting, listening to the Holbrook police scanner and your excellent photography skills. You were truly one of a kind. All my love to Marie, Cathy and Aidan during this sad time.
