Paul C. Murphy
October 1, 1955 – April 4, 2025
Resident of Holbrook - Avon, MA
Paul C. Murphy, of Holbrook, formerly of Avon, passed away unexpectedly April 4, 2025 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Joan (Currie) Murphy. Loving father of Erin O’Hearn (Patrick) of Charlestown, Justin Murphy (Sara) of Holbrook, and Kevin Murphy (Rachel) of Avon. Cherished Papa of Brendan, William, Colleen, Charlie, Margaret, and Penelope. Devoted brother of Maureen Von Euw (Jim) of Westwood, Jane O’Donnell (Patrick) of Westwood, his twin Peter Murphy (Valerie) of Walpole, and the late Kathleen Murphy. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
Born in Brockton on October 1, 1955, to the late William and Lorraine (Gleason) Murphy, Paul was raised and educated in Avon. A graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School class of 1973, he went on to own and operate ReCom Heating and Air Conditioning for many years. Paul was a larger-than-life personality who would do anything for anyone. He was loyal and nothing was more important to him than his family and friends. He loved entertaining and a good laugh. He had a gift of making anyone he talked to feel like the most important person in the room.
Paul enjoyed golfing with his friends in the Randolph Elks Golf League, watching the local sports teams, and playing countless games of cribbage. He could also be found staying up late watching westerns with his favorite mother-in-law, Louise Currie.
Often referred to as “Murf,” his favorite title was Papa. He found immense joy in spending time with his beloved grandchildren, who were always eager to entertain him with their tricks and laughter.
