Michael D. 'Bud' Keane

Passed on August 1, 2023
Resident of Marshfield - Randolph, MA

Michael D. “Bud” Keane of Marshfield, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, after a brief battle with cancer. Bud was born in Boston in 1942 to Irish immigrants Michael Keane and Julia (Mahoney) Keane. He was raised and educated in Randolph, where he lived until retiring to Brant Rock in Marshfield. He was a union carpenter for many years before starting his own carpentry business. Bud was best known for installing hardwood floors in homes and businesses across the South Shore. He was a craftsman, known for his attention to detail and meticulous workmanship.

Bud was stoic, but possessed a quick wit and dry sense of humor. If you’re one of the lucky few who could make Bud laugh, it should be taken as a compliment. He could always be found watching golf, playing Keno, cheering on the Red Sox, or enjoying his Friday night Lynwood Pizza, a routine he continued even after leaving Randolph.

Bud was preceded in heaven by his wife of 45 years, Linda (Donnelly) Keane of Randolph. He is survived by his children, son Michael Keane Jr. and his wife Karie of Randolph, and their son Patrick; daughter Leah Knights and her husband Mark of Norton, and their children Katelyn, Matthew, and Ryan; and daughter Julie Santos of Mansfield, and her children Nathan and Madelyn. He is also survived by his sister Julia Keane of Randolph and brother Roy Keane of Wareham and his family.

In lieu of visiting hours, a private family service will be held in memory of Bud.
