Marjorie A. (Cotter) Tack, of Randolph, passed away May 2, 2023 at the age of 92. Daughter of the late James & Maragaret Cotter, Marjorie was raised in Jamaica Plain where she was a member of the graduating class of 1949 St Thomas Aquinas High School. She earned her teaching degree from Boston Teachers College Class of 1953, and taught 1st & 2nd grade in the Boston Public Schools prior to getting married in 1956. After her marriage she devoted her life to her husband and raising their 6 children in Randolph. George was the love of her life and even with the heartbreak of losing a child they were happily married for over 50 years. After raising her family, she worked at BJ’s Wholesale Club for many years.

Marjorie was an active member of St Mary’s parish for over 50 years.
Marjorie had many friends that she made throughout her long life and always kept in touch with all of them.

Loving wife of the late George M. Tack. Marjorie was predeceased by George and her loving son James (Jimmy). She was the loving mother of Robert Tack and his children Randy, James, Jessica & Sarah and great-granddaughter, Noelle; Elaine Hendrix & her husband Douglas and their children Marina (TJ) and Ryan; Susan Silver and her husband Michael and their children Alex & Zach;
Carole Boucher and her husband Raymond and their children Matthew, Shawn & Joseph; and Joanne Feldman and her husband Jon and their children Maggie and her husband Justin, Daniel & Katie. Also survived by her devoted twin sister Barbara Travers.

Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Tuesday, May 9th at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary Church in Randolph at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 8th from 4-7pm. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie’s memory can be made to the Jimmy Fund via jimmyfund.org.
