Oh Rissa, I don’t even have the words to say. I’m so sorry to hear of your passing. You were such a bright light and blessing, in the lives of all who knew you. I have such fond memories of you from high school, and you always had the hugest heart, biggest smile and most contagious laughter. Our lives on Earth are richer for having you in them, and although our world is darker without you in it, Heaven is brighter and so very lucky to have you. You will forever be missed and eternally loved. Prayers for your entire family.

I only knew Marissa from the gym. But immediately seeing this my memory brought me to that infectious laugh and smile, that warm bright face that lit up every room. I literally don’t think I ever walked in a room without her grinning from ear to ear. What a beautiful memory to leave behind. I pray for strength and comfort to every loved one affected by her loss. Rest in Peace, Marissa.

    In Loving Memory of Marissa

My heart is shattered as I try to find the words to say goodbye to my dear friend, Marissa. She was more than just a Zumba instructor—she was a light in the room, a source of endless laughter, and a truly wonderful human being with the kindest soul.

Marissa had a way of making everyone feel special, lifting us up with her infectious energy and her warm, welcoming spirit. Whether it was through dance, a joke, or just a simple smile, she made even the toughest days a little easier. She brought people together, not just through movement but through genuine love and friendship.

The world feels a little dimmer without her, and my heart aches knowing we won’t hear her laughter or see her joyful spirit light up a room again. But I know she would want us to keep dancing, to keep spreading love, and to cherish the moments we had with her.

Marissa, you will always be in my heart. I miss you more than words can say. Rest peacefully, my dear friend.

    With love and deep sorrow,
    Dr. Brutus

Oh Marissa, I wish I had the perfect words to say.

You brought so much good to my life. More than an instructor, more than a friend, more like a sister. You brought me a sisterhood of friends that I cherish and always will. You brought me so much positivity and happy moments that I will cherish forever. So many good times, so many laughs and so much support. I could go on and on.Your light, smile and laugh will be missed. Your encouragement will be missed. Your energy will be missed.

Mama Verne, Nikki and Marissas’ nephews, you are in my thoughts and prayers. always.

So much sadness to know that you are no longer here with us Marissa. I like so many knew you from the gym. I met you at WoW gym a few years ago, and I got to know you from the classes you taught. Your smile lit up the room, your constant conversations before and after classes were positive and fun. I also saw you on the train into work in the mornings, you sat beside me, and you would often speak about your mom and how close you all were, and your fury babies. Marissa I’m going to miss you
