Marie T. Collier, age 99 of Holbrook, MA passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was born on March 14, 1926, in Boston, MA to Mary T. Dempsey and Lawrence T. Prior.

She is survived by her children, Donna Collier Annesi, Ann-Marie Flavin, Dianne M. Casey and blessed with many incredible loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Norman F. Collier and children, Lawrence N. Collier and Denise R. Collier.

Marie met the love of her life on June 19, 1948.  She and Norman shared a very special bond and love that lasted 62 years until Norman passed away.  They enjoyed dancing together and long car rides.  Marie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and loved seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was an active member at St. Joseph’s Church in Holbrook and participated in a variety of organizations associated with it.  She loved music and attending the Metropolitan Opera competitions.  Marie was a very competitive scrabble player, enjoyed and excelled at crossword puzzles, had a love for old time movies, socializing, and most of all connecting with family and friends. Marie will be remembered for her love and commitment to her husband and family – they were her joy and pride in life.

The funeral/wake will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Holbrook, MA on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.  The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Holbrook, MA.  A private family burial will be held after church services.

    To the Collier family,

    Please accept my deepest sympathies for the passing of your mother. Regardless of her age and her having led a wonderful life, it is always sad to say good bye. I know this has been a tough year for you, I miss Denise every day. May the Lord be with you.
