Margaret C. (Ierardi) Vogel

VOGEL, Margaret C. (Ierardi) of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024 surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was 82 years old.

Margaret was born and raised in Dorchester and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Roxbury. She relocated to Holbrook to raise her young family and became an active member of St. Joseph’s Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s and St. Michael’s in Avon. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Massasoit Community College in Brockton for over 20 years until her retirement. She also attended the school and received her Associate’s Degree and was a member of the Academic Honor Society. In later years, she was a member of the Red Hat Society where she had many fun adventures with her friends. She also enjoyed painting, ceramics, and traveling.

Beloved wife for 49 years of the late Nicholas F. Vogel. Loving mother of Michael Vogel and his wife Anne of Concord, Philip Vogel and his wife Lisa of Somerville, Caroline Brogen and her husband Randy of Burlington, and Brian Vogel and his wife Suzanne of Canton. Cherished grandmother of Kathleen and her husband Sam, Ashley, Matthew and his fiancée Noelle, Christopher and his wife Vici, Andrew and his fiancée Mackenzie, Alex, Ryan and his girlfriend Tahlia, Daniel, Madeline, Emily, Abigail, and Meghan. Caring great-grandmother of Rylie Jean of Somerville. Devoted sister of Patricia Ierardi of Abington. Predeceased by her parents, the late James A. and Margaret (Devaney) Ierardi, and siblings James A. Jr., Jacqueline, Robert, and Joseph Ierardi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Hurley-Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Monday, January 6th at 9:15AM followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael’s Church in Avon at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, January 5th from 2-5pm. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery, Avon.
