Madeline Moran Harkins

Madeline (Moran) Harkins, 96, of W. Bridgewater died peacefully on June 14, 2018. Born in Holbrook, she resided there for 80 years before moving to live with her son, William, in West Bridgewater. She graduated from Holbrook High School in 1939.

Mrs. Harkins was predeceased by her husband Frank Harkins, Jr. and her son Francis Joseph Harkins III; her brother Francis Moran; sister Rita Gallant, Louise Hoeg, Rose Connell and Helen (Huggy) Hamilton. Surviving her are sons William Harkins of West Bridgewater and Dennis Harkins of Easton, along with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Saturday, June 23rd beginning at 8:30am followed by a Mass of Celebration at St. Joseph’s Church in Holbrook at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment Union Cemetery, Holbrook. In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeline’s memory can be made to Fr. Bill’s Place, 38 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169.
