Louis J. Tenore, of Norton, Ma, passed away December 14, 2021 after a hard fought battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Lou was the last surviving member of his family, preceded by his father Louis Tenore, mother Esther (Fallon) Tenore, brother Kenneth Tenore, sisters Elizabeth and Lillian Tenore. Lou now joins his late wife of 44 years, Jeanne (Labelle) Tenore. Lou is survived by his sons Louis J. Tenore Jr, Steven Tenore and Michael Tenore, and daughter Debra Tenore. Lou is also survived by his stepchildren; William Russell Curtis, Leslie Jeanne Toomey, Lynne Jennifer Driscoll and Mitchell Edward Curtis, as well as many grandchildren.
At a young age, in following his father’s footsteps, Lou joined the United States Marine Corp were he became a member of the elite 3rd Marine Division Recon Battalion, notably called “Frogmen” which are equivalent to today’s Navy Seals. Following his discharge, Lou was self-employed as a Computer Programmer. His greatest achievements were husband, father, and grandfather. Lou also adored his many dogs he had throughout the years. He loved boating, reading, and writing poetry.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph, MA. Funeral services to be held on Monday, December 20th at 10:00am followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church in Randolph, MA at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Masks are required in both the funeral home and church. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph, MA.
