Lois West Morse

Lois West Morse, 91, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center in Milton, MA. Born in Jamaica Plain to the late John W. and Edna (Glazier) West, she was a longtime East Bridgewater resident. A 1951 graduate of Winthrop Community Hospital Nursing School, she worked as a salesclerk and credit manager at Montgomery Wards in Kankakee, IL for 30 years, followed by a 35-year nursing career at Randolph Crossing Skilled Nursing Facility and Bridgewater Skilled Nursing Facility. She was a faithful communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church in Bridgewater, MA. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Allen B. Morse, Jr. in 2016. She will be sadly missed by her children, Karen E. Morse of Lexington and Stephen A. Morse and his wife Christine of Whitman, her grandchildren, Emily Gallagher and her fiancé Joshua Haffner and James Gallagher and Michael, Nathan and Savannah Morse, and her brother, Kenneth West. Lois was also predeceased by her siblings, Robert, Donald and Warren West, May Pieroway, and Edna Buckley. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10th from 10-11am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Main St., Bridgewater, MA, followed by a service at 11am. Burial will take place Knollwood Memorial Park, 321 High St., Canton, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Main St., Bridgewater, MA 02324.
