Josephine “Jody” (Micciche) Dyer
June 15, 1957 – October 19, 2025
Resident of Holbrook, MA
Josephine “Jody” Dyer, of Holbrook, passed away October 19, 2025 at the age of 68. Born on June 15, 1957, she was the eldest child of Theresa and John Micciche.
After earning her cosmetology certification, Jody began as a hairdresser, working out of her home salons for a few years. She especially enjoyed working with senior clients, taking great pride in helping them feel cared for and beautiful.
Through one of her clients, Jody met her first husband, with whom she had two daughters, Tracy and Heidi. She later remarried and found love with her husband, the late Joseph Dyer. Together, they made their home in Pembroke, Massachusetts, where Jody spent much of her life.
Jody was a devoted daughter who lovingly cared for her late mother, Theresa, through her battle with pancreatic cancer. During this time and throughout her life, Jody also would also have her own health complications due to Multiple Sclerosis. Yet her compassion, dedication, and strength to her mother was unwavering until the end.
Becoming a grandmother was one of Jody’s greatest joys. She cherished each of her grandchildren and delighted in the time she spent with them, especially her eldest grandchild, Jane, who shared a particularly close bond with her. The two would spend time together thanks to Jane’s efforts.
Jody was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy and Brian Leinbach and Heidi and Whit Pendergast; and her beloved grandchildren, Skylin Pendergast, Amelie Leinbach, Zoe Leinbach, and Janeyana Stanley.
She is also survived by her father, John Micciche; her sister, Theresa Donnelly; and her brother, Michael Micciche, who was a dedicated brother and source of unwavering love and support—along with his wife, Carol, and their children, James, John, and Michael.
Jody was funny, irreverent, loved to dance and cuss, and was the most audibly exuberant eater you could have ever met. She was a spit fire and complicated, and yet she had so many moments of unbridled kindness. Jody will forever be remembered.
