Joseph Orlando Jr., of E. Bridgewater, formerly of Randolph, Brockton, and South Boston, died peacefully January 1, 2025, with family by his side.  Joseph was a husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was the son of the late Joseph Orlando and Florence Pirone.  Predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Helen Orlando, his sister, Jeannie, and his brother and wife, Robert and Patricia Orlando.

Loving father of Paul Orlando and wife Kerri Brine, Jean Mangan and husband Keith, and Christine Orlando.  Grandfather of Brittany Orlando, Tyler Mangan, and Anthony Mangan.  Brother-in-law of Eugene Violante and late wife Elaine, and the late James Violate and wife Anne.

Joseph was born and raised in Boston.  After getting married, he and his wife Helen lived in South Boston where they had their 3 children.  They moved to Brockton where they lived for 16 years, while the kids were young and Randolph for over 20 years during his retirement.  He then resided at Sachem rehabilitation in East Bridgewater for the last few years of his life where he made some new friends, loved bingo and joining activities, and was very social.

He worked at Meyer Brother’s parking garage in Boston and Metropolitan parking garage for many years.  He loved music. The Beatles were his favorite, he was a longtime fan.  He also loved fishing.  Joseph enjoyed cooking; he was a great cook.  He learned from his mom and grandmother Jenny and passed down his cooking skills to his kids. His meatballs and sauce were a family favorite. He made every Sunday dinner special.

He was a sports fan who along with his late wife enjoyed watching the Bruins and Patriots. He loved action movies.  He was a big Star Wars and Star Trek superfan. He also loved other science fiction movies and action movies.  He was well loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Tuesday, January 14th from 5-7pm.
