Joseph Michael “Mike” Grant, of Avon, passed away May 28, 2025, at the age of 76 after a strong, long battle with cancer.
Mike grew up in Brockton. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, Massasoit College & Boston University. Mike worked for many years as a Social Worker & then went into his father’s business at Buckley & Grant until they closed around mid-1980’s. Mike also worked for many years at Grossman Bargain Outlet before his retirement. Mike was an avid fan of football, especially Norte Dame. He enjoyed going to the Avon VFW to watch sports with his friends.
He is survived by his sister Debra Grant (Companion, Bill Nadeau) of Taunton, Denise Sarris (John) of Bridgewater, brother Ronald Grant (Donna) of Brockton, children Joseph Mark Grant and Kendra Lynn Grant, and sister-in-law Joni Linder of Avon. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Joseph G. and Audrey Grant and his fiancée Barbara (Bobbie) Linder who was the love of his life.
