John J. “Jack” Richardson
September 21, 1928 – November 3, 2024
Resident of Avon, MA
John J. “Jack” Richardson, of Avon, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, at the age of 98. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and four sons: John and his wife Sue, Michael and his partner Trish, Paul and his partner Rachel, and Robert and his wife Janet. He was predeceased by his daughter, Karen L. Richardson. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Jack worked at Columbia Packing in the smoke house for 36 years. He proceeded to work for GROW, driving special needs adults to and from work until he was in his 80’s. Jack served in the US Army for 2 years. He loved all Boston sports, gardening, and going to Florida with his wife for many years.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Friday, November 8 from 4-7pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, November 9th at 10am followed by a burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Avon.

I was very saddened to read of Jacks passing and send my sincere condolences. I have many fond memories. Playing hockey with John, the many weekend sleepovers and all of us watching the Bruins games together. My prayers are with you all.
