Joanne M. (Corrigan) Leear, of Avon, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2021 at the age of 84. Born in Boston and raised in Roxbury, Joanne graduated from St. Joseph Academy. Joanne worked for the telephone company and eventually became and LPN at Brockton Hospital.
Joanne was married to the late Richard Leear in 1956. N They moved to Avon and settled down to raise their family. Joanne was the mother to Ellen Camillo and her husband Louis of Taunton, Phillip Leear and his wife Marianne of Avon, and the late James Leear. She is the loving and cherished Nana to Jennifer Romano of Whitman and Timothy, Brian and Rebecca Leear, all of Avon. Great-Nana to Veronica Williams and Mark Robertson III. Also survived by her sisters of Mary Durgan, Helen McFadyen, and Paula Reveliotis and sister-in-law Patricia Bennett of Brockton. She was predeceased by her brothers Phillip and John Corrigan. She was an aunt and great-aunt to many.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Thursday, January 7th from 4-7pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Covid-19 precautions will be in place. A private funeral mass will be held at St. Michael’s Church in Avon on Friday, January 8th at 10am. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
