Joan Montville

Joan Montville, 84, of Holbrook, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 10, 2018 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Joan faced her challenges with a positive attitude and sense of humor. Joan loved to cook and garden, she was an animal advocate and she was an avid Red Sox fan. But what she loved most is being an aunt. She loved deeply and she was the most generous and gracious person.

She is survived by her brother Richard Montville of Bridgewater, MA and her lifelong friend and roommate, Rita Gariboldi along with many nieces and nephews and their families. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Alfie.

Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Monday, July 16th at 9:45am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Holbrook at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, July 15th from 2-4pm. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
