James Frederick Salm, 59, of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away on April 2, 2024.
He is predeceased by his parents, Shirley Louise (Akins) Salm and Lawrence George Salm who adored and cherished him.
James “Jimmy” Salm touched our lives with his light and unconditional love. He will forever be in our hearts.
James is survived by his three siblings and their families, Susan (Salm) Chapman and husband, Daniel Chapman and son, Steven of Bridgewater; Alfred Salm and son, Zachary and daughter, Kendra of Taunton; Shawn Salm and wife, Kela Salm and their son, Alex of Sharon.
James was extremely close to his siblings and resided with his sister, Susan and her family in Bridgewater, after his mother, Shirley, suffered a stroke.
Private Funeral Services will be followed by a Celebration of Life in his memory.

Jimmy was my first hospice patient. I am a volunteer. It was like being with an angel on earth. He was such an innocent and also such a love. Although Jimmy was unable to communicate well, he certainly transmitted in a beautiful way to me that my presence made him somehow happier. It was my pleasure to be with him. A true dollface of a person.
Jimmy was such a love bug. He could always put a smile on your face. Jimmy is greatly missed here at Lakeville Day Hab.
Jimmy was so special and would brighten my day with his smile. He will be missed.
