Helen C. Violante Orlando

Helen C. (Violante) Orlando of Randolph, born in 1945 sadly passed away February 24, 2021 at the age of 75. Helen is survived by her husband Joseph Orlando Jr. They wed on Aug 7, 1965 and were happily married for 55 years.

Helen was the daughter of the late Eugene and Jenny (Carbone) Violente
She was raised in South Boston with her 2 brothers. After marrying Joseph, they had 3 children and lived in South Boston for 9 years until moving to Brockton in 1974. Later they moved to East Bridgewater for a few years and eventually settled in Randolph.

Helen loved family gatherings. She showed her love with her big hugs. She loved to cook, she learned at a young age. She loved a good cup of coffee. Helen loved to take long walks. She loved sports, especially the Boston Bruins. She was a lifetime fan and loved to watch them play. She loved shopping and collecting
sports memorabilia. Over the years she collected many Hummels and Precious Moments. She also loved Elvis, playing ski ball, and enjoyed cookouts. She also loved Christmas. She was a very loving strong woman and will sadly be missed by many.

Along with her husband, Joseph Orlando, Jr., Helen is survived by her son, Paul Orlando and his wife Kerri Brine, and her daughters Jean Orlando Mangan and her husband Keith, and Christine Orlando. Cherished grandmother of Brittany, Tyler and Anthony. Dear brother of Eugene Violante and the late James and Clara Violante. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Wednesday, March 3rd from 4-6pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Covid-19 precautions will be in place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
