George H. Lohnes

George H. Lohnes, age 64, of West Bridgewater passed away on August 19th at home under the care of his family and hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was the husband of the late Anna McGee of Michigan, and the son of the late Mary & George Lohnes of Avon. George leaves behind five sisters, Donna Ballantyne of West Bridgewater,Jane O'Neil of Bridgewater, Barbara Bernasconi of Dennis, and Mary Hutchinson & Patricia Lohnes of Florida, and three brothers, Larry Lohnes of Avon, Thomas Lohnes of Randolph, and Paul Lohnes of Tennessee, and the late John Lohnes. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

George enjoyed riding his bike, fishing & canoeing down at the War Memorial Park in West Bridgewater & fishing off of Cape Cod with his brother-in-law Wayne.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 26th from 4-7pm followed by a service at 7pm at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory can be sent to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater,MA 02379.
