Elaine (Doherty) Boyd

Elaine (Doherty) Boyd, a longtime resident of Pembroke, passed on December 7th, 2025, at the age of 67 at the BAMSI assisted living facility of Middleboro.

Elaine was born on December 12th, 1957, in Brockton, the youngest of seven children of Midge and Marie Doherty. Raised in Avon she attended Avon Public School and graduated from Blue Hills Regional High School and worked as a legal secretary.

Elaine’s husband Michael preceded her in passing. Elaine is survived by her sons Stephen and his wife Brittany in Germany and Connor and his wife Taylor, granddaughter Maizy in Del Rio Texas. She is also survived by her brothers and sister: John Doherty of Holbrook, James Doherty of Rochester Hills MI, Kathleen Stanley of Tiburon CA, Edward Doherty of Brockton, and brother-in-law Paul Catalfamo of North Chatham NY. Her sister Mary Ellen Catalfamo and brother Paul Doherty have preceded her.

Elaine will be remembered for her infectious laugh, love of life and family, compassion, and artistic ability.

A graveside memorial service will be held for Elaine at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Avon MA, at 11 AM on August 31st followed by a celebration of life at the Avon VFW. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
