Edward M. Weiner
Passed on December 18, 2018
Resident of Holbrook, MA
Edward M. Weiner, son of the late Eli and Elizabeth of Boston, and longtime resident of Holbrook, MA, has died on Tuesday December 18, 2018 from complications related to diabetes, he was 75 years old. Ed, Eddie, Fast Eddie, Big Guy, Grampy, and Dad, as he was often and affectionately known by, lived for his family, and loved his small business Mayflower Stationers, of which he proudly and passionately operated on his own for over 30 years. He loved fishing, the Patriots & Red Sox, gardening, Foxwoods, his bologna sandwiches and foot long hot dogs, and being surrounded by the ones he loved, his family and life-long friends Pat and Bill Shea of Abington, and their family. He prided himself on hard work and doing whatever he could to provide a good life for his family and friends. He was there for everyone, always with a smile. He was soft spoken, but his presence was as big as his heart, which broke after the passing of his wife Judith after a 62-year courtship.
Eddie is survived by his adoring children, Debra Weiner of Manhattan, Danny Weiner of Weymouth, Robin Weiner of Holbrook, his adoring Daughter-In-Law Colleen Weiner, and his 4 grandchildren Ella, Griffin, Cole & Preston.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday December 21, 2018 at Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37) Holbrook, MA, 4-7 PM, followed by a celebration of life beginning at 7pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association in Eddie’s name.
