Dorothy M. Holland McLaughlin

Dorothy M. (Holland) McLaughlin, of Avon formerly of Quincy, passed away August 26, 2017 at the age of 88. Born, raised, and educated in Boston, Dorothy had been a resident of Avon for 20 years and Quincy for 15 years. She enjoyed music, dancing, and family.

Loving mother of Susan Lambropoulos and her husband Bill of Mansfield and the late Francis McLaughlin. Cherished mother-in-law of Mary Chris McLaughlin of Avon. Devoted sister of the late Marjorie Garrity, Eileen Eaton, Eleanor Doneghey, Catherine Page, and Theresa Burke. Grandmother of Gregory, Kristen, Christopher, Nicole, and Nick, and great-grandmother of Colin, Stella, Courtney, and Shay. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who have been there for Dorothy and her family.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28) Randolph on Wednesday, August 30th beginning at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael’s Church in Avon at 11am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater, 765 W. Center St., W. Bridgewater, MA 02379.
