Dorothy L. (Crockett) Holland

Dorothy Louise (Crockett) Holland, age 94, passed away on May 27, 2026, at Blue Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton where she was being treated for Dementia and Alzheimer’s.

She was born in Randolph, the last child to be born at home, to Earl and Hazel (Jones) Crockett.  She graduated from Stetson High School in Randolph in 1949.  Dorothy married Ernest Holland of Randolph on August 1, 1952, in Boston, MA.

Throughout the years, Dorothy worked many jobs such as Randy’s Shoe Factory, Hart’s Catering, Plymouth & Brockton Bus Company, and her favorite job as a school bus driver for Randolph, Milton Academy, and Blue Hills Regional in Canton.  Dorothy drove children for over 55 years.  During retirement, she enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, jigsaw puzzles, but mostly just sitting with her friends at the Randolph Housing Apartments on DeCelle Drive in Randolph.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Donna (Jeffrey) Lodge of Dixmont, Maine.  She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Ernest Holland, Sr., her son Ernest Holland, Jr., five brothers Ernest, Clifton, Alfred, Earl Jr. “Junior”, Gerald “Sonny” and three sisters, Doris McCall, Phylis White, and Geraldine “Sissy” Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Friday, June 5^th at 10am followed by a burial in Central Cemetery, 327 North St., Randolph.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 4^th from 4-7pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorothy’s memory to Blue Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center, 1044 Park St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
