Denise A. Daley

Denise A. Daley, 70, of Randolph, died peacefully on September 19, 2026 after battling the fatal disease ALS. Born and raised in Arlington, Mass; after high school, Denise briefly served in the U.S. Coast Guard. She then earned a BS at UMass Boston, later a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University and a Master’s in Ministry from Saint John’s Seminary. She worked for the Massachusetts Newborn Screening Program for over 30 years.

Daughter of the late Edward F. and Joan (Giles) Daley, Denise leaves her sisters Donna Miliano and Diane Alba and brother Robert Daley and their families. Also, Denise leaves her beloved husband, Anthony Phuoc Truong, and his large and loving family. Denise’s cherished only daughter, Kim, tragically died at the age of 21, and Denise found some help coping with her grief by donating a kidney as a “Good Samaritan” donor, giving life to a young stranger. For ten years Denise went to Vietnam every summer and greatly enjoyed her work as a volunteer teacher of English to young men studying to become priests.

For many years, Denise had been an active volunteer at Saint Bernadette Church in Randolph. Denise strived to live as an authentic Christian; she generously gave both her money and her time to those less fortunate. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Denise’s favorite Bible verse was from the Gospel of Luke: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.”

A funeral mass will be held at St. Bernadette’s Church on Saturday, October 3^rd at 10am.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Visiting hours are omitted.  Interment private.
