Daniel J. Bate
August 26, 1979 – April 18, 2025
Resident of Holbrook, MA
Daniel J. “Dan” “Danny” Bate, a lifelong resident of Holbrook passed away peacefully on Friday April 18th. He was 45. Born in Winchester and raised in Holbrook, he was the cherished son of Micheal J. Bate and Linda J. (Laiosa) Bate.
Dan had a kind disposition and a heart of gold. The old saying states that “God broke the mold after he was born,” and that is an understatement. Dan was known to make friends everywhere he went and touched everyone’s heart in their own distinct way. His smile and laughter were contagious and could brighten up any room.
Dan was an all star athlete and enjoyed playing baseball and softball. His experience with playing ball made him the perfect coach of his sons’ Haddon’s and Jacob’s little league team.
Dan’s biggest passion was being a father. His children were his pride and joy. Dan loved his boys, but when it came to Lilly she owned his heart! She was “his baby girl.”
Dan was the devoted father of Haddon, Jacob and Lilly. He was the dear brother of David J. Bate and his wife Bonnie of Milton, and the late Christopher J. Bate. He was the loving uncle of Ashton and Madison Bate, and the grandson of the late Vincent and Mary (Tanso) Laiosa and Gene and Lillian (Gillis) Bate. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Jonele (Bertoni) Cardile, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook, on Saturday, April 26th from 9-10:30am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Holbrook at 11am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
