Carol A. (Clasby) Saccoach
June 18, 1939 – February 10, 2025
Resident of Holbrook, MA
Carol Anne (Clasby) Saccoach of Holbrook, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 10th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dorchester, MA, on June 18th, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Rust) Clasby. Carol was the middle of three siblings and a graduate of North Quincy High School, Class of 1957.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Bernard “Frankie” Saccoach. She leaves behind her three children, Michael and his wife Joan (Antonellis) Carter, Thomas Saccoach and his partner Christine Fitch, Scott and his wife Jean (Maloney) Saccoach. Affectionately known as ‘Nana,’ Carol cherished her seven grandchildren, Breandan and Daniel Carter, Connor and Jarred Saccoach, and Riley, Delaney, and Kerrigan “Mouse” Saccoach.
She was predeceased by her brother John and his wife Janet (Bostwick) Clasby, and is survived by her dear sister Dorothy McCabe and her husband James. Carol also leaves behind her treasured nieces and nephews; Kelly and James Giuliano, James (late) and Beth McCabe, Kara and Daniel Coady, Michael and Erin McCabe, Timothy and Susan McCabe, Helen and Steve Beaudet, and Colleen Malone, along with many great-nieces, great-nephews and many wonderful cousins and cherished friends.
Carol raised her family in Holbrook and Abington, MA. In her early years she worked in catering at Fasanos and B&D before serving as the Function Coordinator at the Dalton Club in Holbrook, working alongside her husband Frank. She had wonderful friends from the Abington Knights of Columbus, where she enjoyed playing Bingo, Keno and ‘the squares’. She was also involved in numerous events, including holiday breakfasts, cornhole tournaments, fundraisers and loved a good meat raffle. She was the first one to offer her time, donate a gift basket or help out in any way she could.
Carol’s love language was cooking and she was a master at it. She always cooked as though she was feeding the “4th Marine Division” so nobody was left hungry when Carol was around. If you were wise enough to let her know your favorite dish, you would receive it in abundance, with her scones, ‘depression’ spaghetti and sausage-stars being top requests.
Carol could only be described as one of a kind. Nobody ever forgot if they were lucky enough to meet her. She loved her family deeply and had many friends that became her family. She was fiercely loyal and generous beyond measure. She had a bold vocabulary, appreciated a good banter, and was very rarely at a loss for words. Above all, Carol’s greatest joy was her family. She loved bragging about her grandchildren and she had a unique and special bond with each of them. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to the Massachusetts Humane Society Inc. Animal Organization.
I am sorry for the Saccoach Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Rest in peace Carol🙏♥️
We are very sorry for your loss.
say this truthful with a stream of tears coming down my cheeks and tissue in hand from my nose. Frank and Carol were like my second life after my mom & dad my dad passed when I was I met Frank in 2000 at the Knights of Columbus we became close friends of course my second mom Carrol was in tow. I became friends with their family over time and realized I was in the company of the real deal of loving people. Carol & Frank will be missed and always a thought in my mind I’m glad to know that the siblings they left with us are going to carry on there strict & loving values. ( PS the last paragraph about Carrol says it all) hope to meet up again with you again soon day
Always
