Ann M. (Lynch) Roche, 82, of Avon, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at home surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Roche for 50 years and the daughter of the late James and Gertrude Lynch (Piscaer). Ann is survived by her children Kelly Quirk and her husband Patrick of Avon, Karen Roche of Avon, Raymond Roche Jr. of Rockland, Patricia Roche of Rockland and Sean Roche and his wife Christine of Middleboro; and 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Holbrook, William Roche, Nicholas Roche, Sean Roche Jr, Kaitlyn Roche, Justin Quirk and Jordan Quirk, 6 great grandchildren Kaya, Jameson, Brayden, Jackson, Wyatt and John. She leaves her sister and best friend Mary Credit of Avon and her brother Edward Lynch and his wife Diane of Avon.
Born in Boston, Ann graduated from Boston College with a teaching degree in business. She taught at Randolph High School for a short time before starting her family. While raising her children, Ann worked as an Accountant, Office Manager and Bookkeeper.
Ann enjoyed vacationing with her husband, especially cruises, and dancing at every function they went to. She loved seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides playing cribbage, Ann enjoyed going to the casino to play slot machines with her sister and whoever else wanted to join them, this was her way of relaxing.
Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Wednesday, December 22nd at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Michael’s Church in Avon at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Face masks are required. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 21st from 4-7pm. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery, Avon.
