Our beloved mother, Judith “Judy” C. Barnes, 84 , of Westwood, formerly of Randolph passed peacefully at home on December 12 surrounded by family.

Judy was born to the late Thomas and Genevieve (Roake) Moylan in Boston. She worked for and retired from Verizon phone company. Judy loved to travel, exercise, visit the beach, read and spend time with her family and numerous friends.

She is survived by her three dearly loved children, Wendy Calvet (David), of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Laura McCarthy (John), of Abington; and Richard Barnes Jr (Kristen) of Bridgewater.  Grandchildren, Katharine Calvet, Brendan (Giana)and Christopher McCarthy, Emma and Avery Barnes. Predeceased by her beloved sister Genevieve “Nini” Grubbs, survived by brother in law William Grubbs and devoted nephew William “Billy” Grubbs and his wife Jeanne Johnson, as well as a great number of friends. Her beautiful smile will be greatly missed.

    I am truly saddened to hear about the loss of your sweet mother. I loved the time that I was lucky to have shared with her in the short time I knew her. She had such a wonderful spirit and smile. I know she will be deeply missed. ❤️

    With a heavy heart I want to express my sincere condolences to dear Judy’s family. I lived in apartment 1305 and we shared many conversations together. She was truly a wonderful woman to have known. May she rest in Eternal peace.
