Virginia A. Aiello (Ginny), of Randolph, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024 surrounded by her family at the age of 79. Born on August 2, 1944 in Brockton, she grew up in Randolph. Ginny was the cherished daughter of the late Dominic and Ella (DeAngelis) Aiello, sister to the late Joseph Aiello and sister-in-law to Elizabeth (Hopkins), loving aunt to Ann-Marie Baker and her husband Mark of Hanover and Joseph Aiello and his wife Michelle of Avon, great aunt to Joseph Aiello, Jr. and Samantha Baker as well as a godmother to many. Ginny’s role as Auntie brought her immense joy and pride for her family, leaving behind many beautiful memories.

Ginny was honored to be the first graduating class of 1964 at Cardinal Spellman High School. She went on to receive her nursing degree from Laboure College. She dedicated over 40 years of service as an RN at Carney Hospital where she had a gift for helping people and held several positions. She was not only respected for her professional acumen and incredible work ethic but she was treasured for her genuine care for people around her. Ginny had a special group of colleagues that became lifelong close friends and shared many memories that extended well beyond the workplace. Ginny created lasting memories with her family, whom she loved to spoil! Described by those who knew her as loving, kind and thoughtful. Ginny lived life to the fullest.

She enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends especially cruising. At last count, she had traveled on 51 cruises. She enjoyed winter trips to Florida and spending summers in New Hampshire with the kids. She enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. Ginny was famous for her meatballs. She would make meatballs for every holiday and special occasion. She once was asked to make her famous meatballs for Tony Bennett while he was performing on the South Shore. His dinner request was homemade Italian meatballs and his concierge knew who to call. Mr. Bennett wrote a personal note describing the meatballs as “the best meatballs on the East Coast” and enclosed two front row tickets to his next show.

Ginny’s influence will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched. She taught us the importance of family, hard work, the joy of giving, and the beauty of life well lived. Her legacy is one of love and will be carried forward by the generations she deeply impacted.

As we say goodbye to Ginny, we celebrate the remarkable life she led and the countless hearts she touched. She was a guiding light, a pillar of strength, and a source of endless comfort. Ginny’s memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared.
