Thomas E. Huntington

Thomas E. Huntington, 72, of Scituate, formerly of Holbrook, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 16, 2025.

Tom was born on September 7, 1953.  He grew up in Holbrook and graduated from Archbishop Williams High School Class of 1971.  He later attended UMASS Amherst and became a proud member of Pipefitter’s Local 537 alongside his brother Michael and their father.  Tom worked with his father for JC Higgins for many years and spent the latter half of his career with his brother’s company, Huntington Controls.  Tom was a 3^rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Holbrook.  Tom enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking, traveling, and was his grandchildren’s biggest fan at their sporting events.

Thomas is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer M. (Huntington) Tandy and her husband, John of Abington and his two cherished grandchildren, David (D.J.) and Emma Tandy, both of Abington.  Tom is also survived by his sister, Catherine Lyons of West Bridgewater, brother Frederick Huntington and his wife Lu of Ivoryton, Connecticut, sister Jane Roche and her husband Richard of N. Grafton, brother Michael Huntington of Scituate, sister Mary Coats of Sutton, brother Patrick Huntington and his wife Kathy of Milton, 12 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Thomas was the son of the late Edward and Anastasia (Lonergan) Huntington of Holbrook.

Funeral from the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook, on Monday, December 22^nd at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph Church in Holbrook at 10am.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 21^st from 2-5pm.  Interment Union Street Cemetery, Holbrook.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory can be made to the Dr. Ruth McLain Hospice Home, c/o Old Colony Hospice & Palliative Care, 670 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184.
