Susan M. Crowley

May 6, 1959 – January 8, 2026
Resident of Quincy, formerly of Holbrook, MA

Susan M. Crowley, of Quincy, formerly of Holbrook, passed away January 8, 2026 at the age of 66.  Born on May 6, 1959 to the late Paul and Joan (Collins) Crowley, Susan attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Archbishop Williams High School in 1977.  She went on to graduate from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing, worked as a nurse at Brockton Hospital, and then became a case manager for Harvard Pilgrim.

Susan was an extremely kind and caring person.  She never complained even when battling illnesses for most of her adult life.  She was family oriented and her dream of becoming a mom came true when she adopted Sara from China.  Sara was Susan’s whole life, and she loved being a mom.  Susan was especially close to her 4 nephews: Erik Mangan, Paul Crowley, Justin Mangan, and John Crowley.  She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Sara Crowley, who was the light of her life, her brother, James Crowley and his wife, Lisa Crowley of Plymouth, her nephews, their wives, great-nieces and nephew, an aunt and uncle, and many cousins.  Susan was predeceased by her sister, Joanne Mangan.

A funeral service will be held at the Hurley Currie Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Saturday, February 7th at 11am.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Susan’s favorite charity:  Unconditional Love Pet Rescue via ulpr.rescuegroups.org.

    Dear Sarah,
I am so sorry for your loss. Susan was like a sister to me while growing up. We made it through school at St Joe’s and Archie’s together and I have too many amazing memories with her to count. I loved spending time during the summer down the Cape with the family: Susan, Joanne, Jimmy, and “Mom Crowley,” your late grandmother. I always felt like I was part of the family. Even though we went different paths after high school, your mom into nursing and I into dental assisting, we stayed in touch and I was honored to have her as one of my bridesmaids at my wedding. Although life gets in the way and we began to lose touch over the years, she was such a huge part of the most formative years of my life and such a wonderful person and friend. I know that she is relaxing, at peace, and free from illness and worry in heaven. My heart and love goes out to you.

    Love, Judy Livorsi Whelan
