Paul Schneider
August 8, 1943 – December 12, 2024
Resident of Sandwich, formerly of Randolph, MA
Paul Schneider, 81, of Sandwich, MA, formerly a long time resident of Randolph, MA, passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2024 after a brief illness. Born on August 8, 1943, in Quincy, MA to Albert J.Sr. and Irene L.(Gaynor) Schneider of Randolph. Paul was the youngest of nine children.
A proud graduate of Randolph High School, Paul dedicated 25 years of service to the Randolph Fire Department. He was also a construction contractor and a longtime Pop Warner football coach, remaining involved with the program even after his own children had moved on to high school. He is still known as “Coach” to the many who had the opportunity to play for him.
Paul’s work ethic was matched only by his dedication to his family. He adored his grandchildren and cherished his time spent with them, especially at their sporting events. He loved his home on Cape Cod and looked forward to his winters in Marco Island, FL where he enjoyed golfing, playing bocce, and cards with his many friends. Paul and his wife Sharon were devoted Boston College football fans and held season’s tickets for many years. He will certainly be remembered for his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor, which were just as infectious as his big dimpled smile.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sharon A. (Kiley) Schneider, his high school sweetheart. He leaves behind his daughter, Diane C. (Schneider) Powers and her fiancé, Damon Gilchrest, of Sandwich, MA; his son, Paul F. Schneider and his wife, Danielle (DiCarlo), of East Bridgewater, MA; and was predeceased in death by his son, Kevin J. Schneider of Randolph, MA. He was a proud and devoted Papa to six grandchildren: MacKenzie (Powers) Marra and her husband Michael of West Bridgewater, MA; Samantha (Powers) Maciel and her husband Matthew of Effingham, NH; Caelin and Kevin Powers of Sandwich, MA; and Luci Cate and Scarlet Schneider of East Bridgewater, MA.
He is also survived by his sister, Sandra E. (Schneider) Leombruno and her husband, William, of Loudon, NH., as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his siblings, Albert J. Schneider Jr., John Schneider, Richard P. Schneider, Irene M. (Schneider) Richardi, Ann M. (Schneider) Loomer, Francis Schneider, and Thomas J. Schneider.
Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially by Sharon, the love of his life. His family was his greatest joy, and he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

My family and I have so many great memories of Paul. More importantly he was a good Jake. May he rest in peace.
From the children of John Ward Mahoney RFD Badge #2.
It was such a pleasure getting to know Paul at our cousin reunion in 2023. He had a great sense of humor and the love between he and Sharon was clearly visible. They hosted a breakfast at their lovely beach home for all the first cousins. Paul will be missed by many.
Paul, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
My deepest condolences to Aunt Sharon, Diane, Paul Jr. and the entire Schneider family! Uncle Paul’s kind and generous smile will be greatly missed.
