Marvin Kalfin
August 8, 1946 – March 5, 2026
Resident of Stoughton, MA
Marvin Kalfin, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. Born on August 8, 1946, in Boston, Massachusetts, Marvin was the beloved son of the late Julius and Sophie Kalfin.
Marvin built his life around hard work, dedication to family, and a sharp sense of humor that those closest to him knew and loved. A proud graduate with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, he went on to build a long and respected career as a Logistics Manager, working with International Paper and Hollingsworth & Vose. His commitment to excellence and problem-solving earned him the respect of colleagues and friends throughout his career.
In addition to his professional life, Marvin honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserves for six years. His service reflected the same sense of responsibility and loyalty that defined many areas of his life.
After retirement, Marvin was far from slowing down. He became an integral part of HyTek Automation Solutions, proudly working alongside his son Brian. He enjoyed contributing his knowledge, staying active, and continuing to support his family’s endeavors.
Marvin was known for his sarcastic wit, quick comebacks, and warm heart beneath it all. Above everything else, he was a true family man. He treasured the time spent with his wife and family, whether it was enjoying trips to Foxwoods, traveling to Bermuda and Aruba, or simply being together and sharing laughs. Marvin deeply valued education and took great pride in helping pave the way for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always encouraging them to pursue opportunity and success.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Rita Kalfin; his sons, Jon Kalfin and Brian Kalfin; and his cherished grandchildren: Heather McAuliffe and her husband Edwin, Dawn Lima and her husband Kyle, Kimberly Fawcett and her family, and Skyla Kalfin. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Sophia McAuliffe, Evelyn McAuliffe, Greyson Lima, and Cameron Lima.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Kalfin and his daughter-in-law, Helen Kalfin.
Marvin will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his humor that could lighten any room, and the legacy of love, support, and opportunity he leaves behind. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his influence and the lessons he shared will live on through the generations of family he cared for so deeply.
