Marilyn graduated from the High School of Practical Arts in Boston where she learned her dressmaking skills. Raised in Southie, Marilyn was an amazing dressmaker, seamstress and designer. Through her career she designed and made wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and costumes for the dance industry. Marilyn and her husband loved to dance becoming part of an Irish group that traveled around the country and to Ireland, we would call them “Irish Groupies!”

What memories of Washington Circle and the pool between our yards so long ago!
Mrs. Moores (Mal) definitely left her imprint on the Brandon girls. We absolutely loved her sewing classes and can vouch for that extra help she always gave us with a smile.
Our mom is the last one left down the circle and with Mrs. Moores passing an era is coming to an end.
My heart goes out to you all.
