Lorth Savean Sim

March 4, 1966 – February 16, 2026
Resident of Providence, RI

Lorth Savean Sim, a devoted son of Phann and the late Lim, was born in Cambodia on March 4, 1966 and later became a longtime resident of Providence, RI. He was united in marriage to Srey Tuon and departed this earthly life unexpectedly on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the age of 59.

Remaining to honor his life are his beloved wife, Srey Tuon; his four children, Viccheat Sim and wife Teresa of MA, Thomas Tuon and wife Shanyka of RI, Monica Tuon and long time partner Kevin of TX, Anthony Tuon and long time partner Kristen of RI; and his three grandchildren Keoni, Elena and Willow. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, and generous son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather whose devotion to his family knew no bounds.

Forced to flee Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge regime, he arrived in the United States as a refugee in 1982 seeking safety and opportunity. He resided first in Utah and later in Minnesota, where he met his wife. Upon becoming a permanent resident of the United States, he made Rhode Island his lasting home. Through resilience and unwavering strength, he created a life defined by hard work and devotion to his family.

Known for his love of fishing, he spent summers on the water with his family and friends, sharing in life’s simple pleasures. Fishing was more than a hobby, it was a reflection of his gentle, patient, and joyful nature.

He will be deeply missed, but his love, guidance, and laughter will remain in the hearts of his family forever. He rests in peace, knowing his memory is cherished daily, and his legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Wednesday March 4th from 4-7pm.
