Kathleen “Kathy” Nee

Passed on January 30, 2026
Resident of Holbrook, MA

Kathy Nee, 60, of Holbrook, Massachusetts, passed away after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Throughout her journey, Kathy fought with remarkable strength, unwavering positivity, and a spirit that inspired everyone who knew her.

Kathy had a deep love for the ocean, her cherished collection of rocks, and going on adventures—whether it meant traveling somewhere new or happily driving two hours just to try a new ice cream place. She found joy in life’s simple and spontaneous moments and brought that joy to those around her.

For 28 years, Kathy was a devoted special needs teacher with the Holbrook Public Schools. Her commitment, patience, and compassion left a lasting impact on countless students and families, and her work was a true reflection of her generous heart.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her children, Ben, and Heather and husband, Chris; and her bonus son, Michael. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddy and Kathy, Danny and Susan, and John and Paula; her sister-cousins, Jean, Diane, and Susan; her stepfather, Allen Raleigh; and her many nieces and nephews.

She will also be dearly missed by her amazing friends who did so much for her, especially her best friends, Virginia Phillips and Kelly Mackie-Watson.

Above all else, Kathy adored her six grandchildren—Aiden, Cooper, Lily, Baylor, Ryder, and Bennett. Her love for them was endless, and they will carry her memory with them always.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held onSaturday, February 21st at Lucky 777s from 3-7

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy’s memory to her favorite organizations, Magical Moon and Alice House.
